5.00 (moderate) Only thing to say... unusual but fun. Cant say that I could recommend anyone watching it... but it has some value. I was not impressed, but I was not repulsed either. The whole thing felt a little clumsy, but was stunning as the artist was more than just good... he or she was great.

Just one of those 'take it or leave it' series that I run across across once in a while.

9.50 (excellent) One of these very good Yuri series. I hope that it is continued somewhere, as the ending sort of left me hanging. It was sweet and nice, yet it seemed to need a little more something extra - but it still was pretty damned good.

8.50 (very good) This was one of the best plot driven series I have seen... because that it does not rely on fanservice or any blood and gore to get along... it is the story that instantly grabbed me and the the characters kept me watching it intently. It is sweet and all of that, but it never causes cavities - it is one of those good feeling sort of series that almost everyone could get into.

It is a bit of a departure for what I watch normally, but that should speak volumes for the series itself.

6.25 (average) I was not a big fan of the series when I caught it on TV sometime ago, but I have to admit that it was not bad either. Many people raved about the Anime allot to me until I finally had to watch it for myself. I found it dragging in many places to the point I wondered why I was watching. With the story line feeling too weak in some areas, I was hoping for it to pick up. It did, but still left me confused as heck.

I was left wanting more from the series in the way of a stronger plot line and less cheesy characters, but as a whole - it was not bad.

7.75 (good) This is one of these shows that were pretty good for me. It was a show that was well written and thought out, but I always wondered if the thing was done a little differently that It might have made classic status. It is not like it was not bad, but I got that sense that it could have been done better.

In writing this, gotta get the copy from my buddy - I think I want to watch it all again and see exactly what it might be making me feel like this towards it.

9.75 (excellent) A sisterly love, reaching a little bit of a incest sort of thing. It is not quite that, but the strong love one sister has for the other leans towards it without crossing that line. I love the interactions between the main characters and how as sisters they look after one another. It is not quite Yuri or incest... but just a love story with a huge twist in it.

A must watch for any Anime fan.

9.50 (excellent) First Anime I ever saw ever. Nice story that I loved, and always thought was a little too short and that made the story feel rushed and had things that were not fully explained away. It was a early Anime, and in some ways a classic - yet I have secretly wanted to gather the money to redo it right.

Classic, yet classically flawed to some degree. That is where it is.

8.00 (good) An unusual, yet good series. I was stunned by how well it was animated but how the story did not develop in the way I thought that it could have. It was very good, but because how the story was at times - lost - it hampered the whole thing. It was still a very good story, but it could have been way better.

It was sort of sad to see, but it is true... a little more of a story twist and a few other little touches would have made all of the difference. A pretty fair one, but disappointing as well... sort of made the whole watching it not as enjoyable as it could be.

7.25 (above average) An odd premise for a story... a group of girls( and one guy) that are obsessed with underwear and wanting to teach others to appreciate them like they do. It was cute, fan-service all over the place and in spots, showed the value of sticking to your guns... but with such a limited story to go with it, it just is good without being great.

The girls were cute, but predictable making it less that what I thought they could really do with the story.

Death Note

Last Updated: Jun 06, 2011

8.75 (very good) Death Note is one of those series that were on the brink of being a total classic - but one flaw in it made it clear that they did not do it. As stunning and sometimes disturbing as it is, the story went on way too long, and stretched the story far from where it should have been. When you draw out the story for useless little bits to be involved - sooner or later, the viewer gets mighty bored.

If they would have shortened it a great deal, and made certain characters less important - it would have been a classic. as of now... it is not.

8.50 (very good) As a story, this was one of those that caught my eye once, and after watching... I was hooked. With some surprises in it, the series was worth watching, Some of the episodes were feeling rushed at times, but as a whole each one did its job to a tee.

Love it when things are done a little differently... but I am a little different also.

9.75 (excellent) Brutal and sadistic, this Anime is not for the weak. With blood, gore, violence and fan-service - it is a sight to behold. I love everything about it, and want everyone to just watch and make your own decision.

I truly think this is one of those series that needs to have another series( Don't know of they already did) made. Love it so much, watching it again as well.

9.75 (excellent) Brutal and haunting, this series is a explosive one. It is disturbing when young ones use such high powered weaponry, but that is why the series is strong. Only problem was the ending, it sort of... cut off. I have not seen the next instalment, but I hope to. I am leery though, the next series might not be as good.

8.25 (good) I was split on the series. Loved the friendships, but the story line was a little weak. It is nice and full of fan-service, but it cant make up for a weak and predictable story. It was nice, but I would not want to watch it again.

8.00 (good) Another friend had a copy of this series, and let me borrow it to watch while I am in the studio recording( I'm a bassist)to pass the time between arguments. I am amazed at how good this is, with such a limited plot line to it. I am thinking that it might be how the characters are developed, but I wont sweat it.- just going to enjoy it

This is just a good short series without any pretentiousness to it.

Nice, but not the greatest.

9.00 (very good) I was not expecting much, but found the irreverent( Very blatant) humour and the story to be very enjoyable. I was surprised at this, but soon just learned not to over think it and simply watch for the pleasure it give me. Check it out, you just might agree with me on this one.

8.75 (very good) I usually do not go for Anime like this( Mecha) but I found myself loving this series. It is well written and has the right balance of Action and relationship angles not to mention amazing art that pops out at you. It is stunning in every way except one.

The only drawback is that it was made very short(12 Episodes) and seemed a little rushed in spots to accommodate this. If the developer had taken the time to expand into better details and let the story breath on its own... this would have been a near 10 Rating... because it is what it is, it got the rating it has now. Still worth watching though.

9.75 (excellent) One of the best, and surprising Yuri based Anime around. This was my first introduction into Yuri... and not my last. Perfect and funny, with a whole load of thought provoking sidebars that make the series a great one.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

Last Updated: Aug 09, 2011

8.25 (good) Interesting... this seemingly uninteresting anime has turned into something that has captured my mind. Smart as it is sweet, it seems to rely on the plot and the many wonderful characters rather than more conventional series out there. I would have liked it to be a wee bit more with a few secondary characters, but that is just me.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is more than worth it if you crave a anime that has heart and good writing. It is so good, I found a copy on line.

4.75 (moderate) Funny in parts, but deeply disturbing. I watched it first with my friend and fellow Anime freak... and we both were stunned with what we were seeing. Not for everyone, the series tends to lean on the lecherous antics of young girls towards their hapless Teacher. It was almost vial the way it was made, and I am sure that this could nearly be called illegal in some places.

Truly, this made me take a step back, and shake my head a time or two.

8.25 (good) Just finished watching it today( Borrowed the DVD)... and I was both enthralled - and perplexed. It is a finally written Anime, yet it leaves me feeling as if things were missing in the development of it. It is a amazing show, full of characters that are pretty well rounded.. the Yuri angle is a nice touch... but something just does not sit right in it.

Dunno what it is that I am not seeing, but it has effected my rating of the series. It is well worth watching. I just might watch it again before giving the DVD back... I am wanting to understand what it is that I am not picking up.

9.25 (very good) A complete package for an Anime. One of the best Yuri Based story lines since Kashimashi or Aoi Hana. Shows that there is more to Yuri other than smuttiness. I recommend this series for anyone who like a full, rich story that actually has something to offer.

8.25 (good) I saw this one a long time ago. It was a pretty good story, predictable as heck but still good. I have seen may of this ilk come and go, but this one although not in my top ten for animes, holds a special place for me. It is one of those love stories which you know time and again, but feel compelled to watch over and over. Thank god my buddy has this on in his collection.

I cant find a copy for me and my eclectic collection... and he wont tell me where he got it.

6.00 (average) A suspense filled series that was filled with twists and turns had one weakness. Too many twists. The Manga was like that as well, but it was not as bad as the Anime turned out to be. It may be the medium that was used, but the Anime should have been a little less obsessive.

I was amazed at the different characters, but that could not help here. Sad... this could have been way better.

8.75 (very good) A better than average Series with a plot line that was begging for a little more than what it was getting. With a slight Yuri feel to it, it made for some interesting scenes. The way the whole thing ended was pretty good, but left a few things up in the air for me.

Does this mean a second one? I hope so, but not holding my breath for it.

8.25 (good) One of the series that at first, I did not like. I was given the DVD from a good friend, and I was hooked. Sweet, loving and a interesting, as the series unfolded, you saw how hard you need to work for love to finally comes out from hiding.

I was wrong after the first impression I got... now I think it needs to be seen again.

9.50 (excellent) Interesting as all heck, the story line was one that seemed unoriginal... but soon that was not the case. With some very good characters and the way they were developed, turned what I first thought was a bland Anime... into something I now hold in high regard. A must for anyone who loves a good story.

9.00 (very good) This series was a bit of a confusing one. The story was a very interesting one based on books and reading - but it seemed to plod along until the end, and left me wanting something that it did not deliver. Don't get me wrong, it was not a bad story... but it left me perplexed and unsatisfied.

8.00 (good) With a story based on Mahjong - I was intrigued. It was a fast paced and unusual experience - but the series lacked a strong enough story line. It was also a little Yuri-ish, but the game was the main focus.

3.75 (below average) Very predictable and full of stuff that never went into the story. I was very disappointing considering I had a friend of mine recommended the series. I found it very close to others out there, and the plots to be laughable at best. There were a few laughs, but it is more about seeing it very stupid that funny.

Usually my buddy was right about a series - he was not this time.

Sasameki Koto

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Jun 06, 2011

9.50 (excellent) Just like Aoi Hana, Sasameki Koto is a strong relationship based series that is very deep and has a rich story behind the awakening of a young girl to her heart. Strong Yuri story, which actually shows a universal type of love with the confusion of youth.

It is a love story for one girl to another... but it is much more. It is the story of finding someone you love - and trying to find a way to express it.

6.25 (average) Interesting and entertaining, the short series should have been expanded and deepened the plot. As it was, I was entertained but had this nagging feeling that this Anime should have been done better than it was coming across as.

As good as it was done... there is much room for improvement.

Strawberry Panic!

9.75 (excellent) Another good Yuri based series. It is one of those 'story driven' animes that needs to be watched all the way through to be appreciated. Strong characters and a rich story of love, confusion and discovery, Strawberry Panic is a series that can be watched over and over again.

Some might differ from my impression of the series... but for me, it is a very fine story.

7.00 (above average) I was told this was a great series to get into. I was not as kind to it. Sure it is good, and has a great idea behind it - I thought the characters could have been developed better into a deeper sort of thing. The story as an idea was brilliant, but for some reason was not fully done right. It is not a bad series... but anyone could see that this could have been a monster of a series. This is good, but not great.

5.25 (moderate) Confusing is the word I would use for this series. It is visually amazing, but the story plot is more confusing than a drunken dyslexic in a room of mirrors. I see what they are trying to do( I have only three episodes left to watch) and I am still very confused. I think the writer has tried too hard, and come out writing cluttered copy and just making the watcher way too dumbfounded to like it.

Long story short... if you can watch this, and get it.. more power to ya. I am trying, and I still don't have a clue to most of it. When done, I might amend this if I get that clue.

Witch Hunter Robin

10.00 (excellent) One of my favourite series, and one that I have a few tattoos of on me( I have robin and Amon on arms) It was the start of my obsession with the Anime, and one that still is my top one. Story, animation... everything is perfect. Some might disagree, but I don't care. WHR is the best one out there for story and excellence.

I am on the 50th watching of the series -cant get enough.
